A short drive from Mukteshwar, Kainchi Dham Ashram is one of the most visited spiritual places in Uttarakhand, known for its peaceful and grounding energy.

Itinerary

Meet your co-travelers at the boarding point in Delhi (Akshardham Metro Station, reporting time: 11:00 PM) at night and start your overnight journey to Mukteshwar. This trip is designed as a safe and inclusive space for queer travelers, so get ready to socialize, share stories, and begin this memorable journey of queer travel in India.

Wake up to the fresh mountain air as we arrive in Mukteshwar, one of the most peaceful and offbeat destinations in Uttarakhand.

After check-in to our cozy stay, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and some downtime to soak in the views.

Experience Highlights:

  • Visit Chauli Ki Jali - known for its dramatic cliffs and panoramic Himalayan views
  • Explore Mukteshwar Temple - a serene spiritual spot surrounded by mountains

As the sun sets, gather around for a bonfire night with music, stories and community bonding concluded with wholesome dinner.

End the year on a high with music, dancing and a special New Year’s Eve celebration with your Queer Travelogue fam as we countdown to midnight together! 🎉🌈

Begin the first morning of the New Year surrounded by the mountains. Wake up slow, enjoy breakfast with a view and take in those first peaceful moments of the year together.

Later, visit the serene Kainchi Dham Ashram, a globally known spiritual destination surrounded by the Kumaon hills. Take some quiet time here to reflect, reset and step into the year ahead with fresh energy.

Depending on the time and traffic conditions, we'll later explore Nainital or Bhimtal, with some free time around the lake, local markets and cafés.

As evening arrives, begin our journey back to Delhi, ending the first day of the year with new memories, new friendships and a beautiful start to another year of adventures together with Queer family.

Arrive back in Delhi by 6 AM in morning. This is not just the end of a trip, but the beginning of lasting connections, new friendships, cherished memories and a wonderful year ahead.
